Takengon- About 315 racing horces enliven 436th Takengon anniversary of, Aceh Tengah. The horses raced in the traditional horse racing of Gayo.

Khairul Amorous, Vice regent of Aceh Tengah, said the competition racetrack is part of Takengon or called Kute Takengen aniversary celebration . 'Budaya Tarmac Kude (horse racing ) is inseparable from civilization of Takengon, ' he said on Tuesday, 19th February 2013. Tarmac Kude is considered as amplifier that gathering citizen of central region of Aceh. It also as entertainer which aims to preserve culture.

Saib Nosarios, committee chairman of  Horce Race, expressed that , the Horce Race that held annually  was followed by 315 horses from three districts in Gayo Highlands. Central Aceh as host race 171 horses, Bener Meriah submitted 101 horces, and Gayo Lues 43 horses.

Competition that lasts for seven consecutive days contested for Aceh Governor's cup and several other trophies.
